Show Us What You Got is a brand new talent programme that demonstrates the creme de la creme of the musical talent from Inverkeithing High School. With musical talent ranging from: rock bands to pianists to guitarists to violinists.
The shows consists of two types of episodes:
- Bands
- Talent Showdown (a programme that have indvidual musicians as guests competiting to be the “Show Us What You Got Talent Showdown Winner”).
The bands programme is the main type of episode in Show Us What You Got. The format consists of the following:
- Discussing the band’s origins (The story of the band’s beginnings, and how everyone became involved in the band).
- Asking who inspired them musically (which band inspired them to take on the task of starting their own band).
- Discussing what are their musical influences (what genres and other bands influenced their sound).
- An “On the Spot Question” (normally an off-topic question that aims to be hilarious).
- Discuss the band’s work (gigs, albums, songs, etc. As well as discussing work coming up in the future and promoting any upcoming work to see, hear or buy).
- The band perform their song.
The Talent Showdown programme is the end of series episode. The format for the Talent Showdown is as follows:
- Discussing the origins of the musician (how he/she became involved with music).
- Ask the musician his/her musically inspirational figure (like with bands, only with an indvidual musician).
- Discuss his or her musical influences (Same as bands).
- Discuss their current musical work (Briefly).
- The musician performs their chosen song.
This is repeated with 2 or 3 other guests on the same episode; As well as giving you details and how you can get involved by voting the best musician of the programme. The winner will win a “Show Us What You Got Talent Showdown Winner” certificate – and maybe another prize if they are lucky.
